The Play-by-Play
Before the Pre-loaf-off festivities

Like all great competitors, Rich and I attended a church service prior to today’s Loaf-Off 2006 opening ceremonies. It was a quiet moment of reflection before the chaos of the actual competition begins.
I think both of us are in a Zen-like place right now, a state of heightened awareness and readiness, yet we’re both relaxed, calm, and focused. Richard, specifically, seems confident. I’m not made privy to his internal dialogue (he’s wearing a tinfoil hat), but he definitely seems “in the zone”.
Either that, or Rich is a hung over as I am.
Regardless, I’m all right with where I am right now. I don’t have recipes, a plan, or ingredients yet, but I’m going to be all right.
Focus, flow. Be the meat.
